Canadian ocs to stop automatic C-sections for breech babies

This is in response to Canada’s rising and ridiculously high cesarean rate (although their rate is lower than the US). I think it’s fantastic! Now the US obstetrical community needs to take notice and follow suit!

This is AWESOME!! 🙂 In the majority of cases, there is NO need for an automatic C/S for breech. My grandmother delivered one of my uncles breech – one foot first, it was a little more complicated than a vertex birth, but they both survived just fine! 🙂 Thanks for posting this.

Good for your grandmother! And it was the norm back then too. Yes, they are more complicated but all it takes is someone skilled at delivery breech. IMG’s stats for breech at The Farm are amazing.
